At last - Post again

Monday Nov. 29^th

This is our last day in Tiglio.  We decided to take it easy for the most part.  It was a gorgeous sunny day so we started it by a little walk around the town after breakfast.  The whole day and night before had been raining and snowing in the mountains and the views were amazing.  I just can’t get over how beautiful the views are around here.  We decided to get in the car and head up a road we had not been and see where it took us.  The roads seemed clear and it was quite nice in the sun.  We stopped a few times along the way just to look at the mountains and snow.  The higher we got the more snow was on the ground…probably about 2-3 inches at least.  We kept winding and winding up till  we got to the top of the mountain we were on.  When it felt like we were heading down the other side we decided to turn around but not without stopping first just to soak in the beauty of the area.  We took soooo many photos and were disappointed in each one because a camera just could not seem to capture what we were seeing. 

As we headed down we decided to drive into Barga to have lunch and by the time we were done…about 2:30 the dark clouds were rolling in over the mountains and we were glad to get home before the rain came ….again.  They say November is a funny month here.  It can be nice and sunny most of the time or a lot of rain…and this year has been a lot of rain.  But it has not bothered us and it just makes the sunny days even better.  We got back to our apt and began to pack and clean up and get ready for tomorrow as we head out to a new place…wonder what it will look like?
